The Delaware Association of Physicians of Indian origin was established in 2004 with a small group of Indian physicians. There is no such association putting or bringing together Indian physicians under one umbrella in the state of Delaware.  We do believe that in the near future it will be a great success both professionally as well as socially.
     
 
 

The association is organized for educational, scientific, social, and cultural purposes. Its aim is to help the members to know one another’s goals and problems. We intend to  bring together the physicians of Indian Heritage Who are working and residing in Delaware we also intend to assist medical students and physicians who seek to obtain medical training in the United States. In the future we will conduct educational programs to acquaint the members with scientific and other developments in the field of medicine.

The organization will be involved in rendering medical services to needy people in the community. This organization will provide a vehicle for members to contribute to medical care and medical education in countries of the Indian Subcontinent. Lastly this should help in  providing mutual understanding and cooperation between members of this association and other local and national organizations of mutual interest in the United States and Indian Subcontinents 

There are many states in which such associations have yet not been formed. With Delaware being the first state to be formed in the United States, we do not believe that we should be the last association to be formed. Our aim is to unite in a single forum the Indian physicians in Delaware and facilitate them to excel in patient care and research. You would enjoy the participation of all physicians from every field whether active or retired. We aim to bring together meetings of good caliber in the profession and social gatherings.
